Peninsula Model Railroad Club: The Peninsula Model Railroad Club (PMRC) is building a series of modules depicting the Ilwaco Railroad and Navigation Company, the three foot gage railroads that served the peninsula until the 1930\'s. The modules are being made in O scale, which is 1/48th actual size (1/4 inch equals one foot). To begin the series, modules depicting Long Beach, the tunnel and Fort Columbia, and the wye near Black Lake are being constructed.
The PMRC sets up operating Christmas train exhibits in the local retirement homes, which are popular with the residents. The club also maintains the train-related exhibits at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum and hosts Clamshell Railroad Days the third weekend in July every year.
